Rockagator RG-25 Covert Series Waterproof Backpack

Rockagator RG-25 40 Liter Covert Series Waterproof Backpack Review

Rockagator-Covert-Series-BackpackWe at Roanoke Outside are always on the lookout for up and coming companies. We love discovering new brands and gear so we were excited when we were presented with the opportunity to check out the Rockagator RG-25 Covert Series Waterproof Backpack.

Rockagator is a relatively new company based out of Utah that is focused on creating extremely functional products that can handle anything Mother Nature throws your way. The Rockagator RG-25 has a simple design that is much appreciated in an age where mainstream brands are constantly adding unnecessary features. The Rockagator is a simple pack for people who want to keep their stuff dry in the wettest of environments. The taped seams, stitching, and thoughtful placement of contact points is evidence that these guys take pride in their work.

The snowy winter in Roanoke, VA region provided the perfect testing grounds. We put the pack to test as a ski backpack and bike commuter pack, and there’s no doubt that the pack will be just as home as a dry bag for any river trip.

The 40 liter capacity is ideal for any day or even a single overnight trip. When bike commuting the pack easily held a change of clothes (shoes, shirts, pants, lunch, laptop, etc.) and when out for a day of skiing it easily held extra layers, boots, GO Pro and attachments, water bottle, and snacks. It’s a very simple, top load design so don’t expect any extra bells and whistles, however there is a small quick-access waterproof zippered pocket you can access from the outside as well as water bottle holders on the sides.
