RNUTS Trail Running Series is Open

rnuts 2020Runners: It’s time to think about the region’s trail series for 2020.

The Roanoke Non Ultra Trail Series, or RNUTS, begins the 12th year with the Frozen Toe 10K in January.

Registration for individual races – there are six – and the complete series is open. (You don’t have to register for the series to compete in individual events.)

Here’s what you need to know about RNUTS 12:

From Mountain Junkies: “This series has been created to showcase the trails in and around the Roanoke Valley, and if you aren’t already, help turn you into a Mountain Junkie. We need more of you to help us feel normal. What we have for you is a one of a kind experience. Each of these races is held in beautiful locations, contain different types of trail, possess different levels of challenge, and have been picked to push your limits and provide you with a great trail running experience.”

One of the great things about the series is that it provides races throughout the winter and spring with events that gradually increase in mileage (perfect for training up).

There are six events to choose from, and completing the series consists of finishing four events.
