Celebrate Mom with a Kayaking Trip
Get Mom a great memory this Mother’s Day with a no-experience-necessary kayaking adventure.
The guided trip on Sunday, May 13, with Roanoke County Parks, Recreation & Tourism includes a day on the James River. You’ll depart from Green Ridge Recreation Center (transportation is provided) and get orientation and instruction before getting on the water.
Each participant will paddle on a sit-on-top kayak in a beautiful setting. Paddle side-by-side with family members to make the most of the time on the water.
Guides and equipment are provided. The trip also includes breaks and a lunch stop. (Make sure to bring a water bottle and brown bag lunch.)
The only requirement is that participants know how to swim. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
