Banff Mountain Film Festival

Home - Banff Mountain Film Festival

The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour has been providing outdoorsy folk from around the world with mountain culture for over 40 years. The films shown as part of the traveling world tour are inspiring, adventurous, and thought-provoking, created for like-minded audiences in cities, mountain towns (like Roanoke), and villages in over 40 countries.

Due to COVID, this year’s event will take place from the comfort of your own home!

Proceeds will go toward Project Outside – our community fund created by businesses, governments, and individuals to support outdoor capital improvement projects, maintain key outdoor assets, and help launch and support businesses in the outdoor sector.

How It Works

  • There are three different programs/groups of films (Red, Blue, and Green) to choose from.
  • You can choose one program or a bundle of all three.
  • The films will be streamed to your computer, smart TV, or smartphone via Vimeo OTT.  (Note: If you experience technical difficulties with the streaming, such as trouble purchasing a program, please contact Vimeo directly via the help tab at the bottom of streaming page.)
  • After you make your purchase, you have up to 72 hours to watch all the films in an individual program; you have 7 days to watch the films if you purchase the entire bundle.
  • The films are available Sept. 16 through Oct. 17.

Cost

  • $15 for one block, or $40 for a bundle of all three
  • 20% of every purchase goes toward Project Outside.; the difference goes to the Banff Centre For Arts and Creativity
