Will You Run for Beer? (Enter to Win a Team Entry)

Teams formed so fast for The Growler Team Relay that we hardly got a chance to talk about it. And there’s a lot to talk about — this event combines running and craft beer!The relay run takes teams on cross-region loop from Parkway Brewing to Flying Mouse Brewery and back for a total of 53.2 miles. (Each leg of the race is between 5 and 8 miles.)

The first 25 teams, which can include from two to eight people, are already registered. So, we are giving away another full team entry so you and your closest friends can take part in the inaugural run.

Here’s what you need to do:

• Fill out the form below by Aug. 20.
• Get all your potential teammates to enter the giveaway as well. (Each participant will get a commemorative growler, shirt, and beer ticket.)
• Start training!

The Growler Team Relay is put on by VA Momentum. They’ve put on similar races in Harrisonburg.

The Growler is social in nature. You’ll have a blast with your team and meet new friends. While one teammate runs, others will take fun photos, solve riddles and decipher clues to earn extra beer tickets. There will be a huge party at the finish line at Parkway Brewing Company where you can celebrate with your new friends, and even invite those who weren’t brave enough to take on the running challenge.

And this race benefits the Roanoke Outside Foundation, which will receive a portion of proceeds from the event. (Not only will you have a great time, but you are helping make our great outdoors even more awesome.)
