Tie Flies with Trout Unlimited at Ballast Point
The Roanoke Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host open fly tying at Ballast Point Brewing every other Sunday throughout 2018.
The first event is Sunday, Jan. 7 at 3 p.m. All skill levels are invited to come out, you just have to want to learn how to tie flies. Tools and materials will be available to use free of charge.
Upcoming dates include Jan. 21, Feb. 4, Feb. 18 and March 4. Drop in to any or all of the fly tying events to hone in your skills.
This is the perfect time to perfect your tie flying skills because Trout Unlimited will host fly casting demos once it gets a little warmer out. (Both tie flying and casting demos will be at Ballast Point.)
