Deschutes Street Pub Roanoke

The Deschutes Street Pub is back.

The event, which brought thousands of people to Downtown Roanoke for a day of food, fun, and tasty beverages, is July 14 at Elmwood Park. The first kegs will be tapped at 2 p.m and last call happens at 10 p.m.

The Street Pub is free and is a giant, family-friendly one-stop shop for beer tastings. Deschutes Brewery will have more than 50 taps with plenty of brews to taste, including favorites and special taps. The craft beer event will also include culinary creations from Deschutes Executive Chef, Jeff Usinowicz, and a couple of local chefs and there will be plenty of live music from local bands!

Presales Are Open

Admission to the Street Pub is free, but if you’re smart you can avoid the long lines by ordering some merch in advance.

  • Tokens are your ticket for the day. Each token is good for one cold craft beer. You can get tokens the day of the event or online in advance. The benefit of pre-purchasing tokens is that you don’t have to wait in lines and by pre-purchasing, you get one extra token for every four you buy. (Tokens are $5 each, but advance tokens are five for $20.)
  • Limited Edition Hydro Flask Pints will sell out, so don’t wait. Put quite simply, these are the Cadillacs of steel pints. BPA-free, stainless steel vessels for the sweet nectar of the beer gods. Plus, it has a sweet Deschutes Street Pub logo on it.

Volunteers Needed

The Street Pub relies on the support of volunteers to keep costs down so that more money can be donated to nonprofits. There are a variety of jobs available, beginning with an 8:30 morning shift and running through the breakdown after last call. One of the most fun jobs might just be pouring beer; volunteers always say it’s a great experience.
