Roanoke Mountain Campground
Looking for a place to camp close to Roanoke? Visit the Roanoke Mountain Campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Located off the Mill Mountain Spur of the Blue Ridge Parkway – from Roanoke, head up to Mill Mountain and continue past the turn to the Star and Zoo. The campground will be on your right after about one mile.
The campground is open May 1-October 31 each year and offers car camping, walk-in tent camping, and small RV hook ups.

The great thing about the Roanoke Mountain Campground is that it provides great access to the Chestnut Ridge Trail, the trails at Explore Park, the Star Trail, and Mill Mountain Park trails. You can even stop by the Mill Mountain Zoo.
