Roanoke River Greenway runs more than 5 miles from Wasena Park to Bennington Rd.. Starting at Wasena Park, the first part of the greenway is kid friendly, slightly downhill, and a very easy walk, ride, or run with plenty of playgrounds along the route. There are many other greenways located within Roanoke; maps can be found at www.greenways.org

Directions to Trail Head

Take I-581 to Elm Ave. / Rt. 24 (Exit 6)
Turn onto Elm Ave. /Rt. 24W (heading towards downtown)
Continue to follow Elm Ave. which becomes Main St./US 221
Cross over the river and turn right at Winona Ave.
Turn right at 11th St. and then turn left at Winchester Ave. into parking lot
