Pete’s Pick: Fowl on the Brain

I am thinking fowl this week. Mostly because of two bird-themed events that are not to be missed.

  1. The Drumstick Dash is happening at 9 a.m. Thanksgiving morning and is one of the biggest events in the region. If you have not signed up yet, GO DO IT NOW. Not only will you burn off all your calories ahead of the big meal, but you’ll also be doing something great for the community. (The annual run/walk benefits the Rescue Mission.)
  2. Head over to the RIOT Rooster: Annual Indi Craft Fair on Friday or Saturday at 16 West marketplace. (You might even find me there during the lunch hour Friday.) Riot Rooster is a mecca of handmade, upcycled, recycled, odd and useful gifts and more than 50 vendors will be on site. Just think, you can do your shopping ahead of the Black Friday rush! Admission is free.
