The trail network in Falling Creek Park is designed for hiking, mountain biking, and trail running.

In addition to trails, there is an 18-hole disc golf course at the park. Falling Creek Park is also the home to the Fat Tire Frenzy & Bike Festival, as well as the Falling Creek Mountain Cross Winter Race Series, two locally famous rides. Falling Creek is located Bedford County.

Hike It, Bike It

  • There is also a new bike park on site that is designed for people to learn the sport or train on beginner and intermediate trails.
  • Be sure to read bike park as well as the Falling Creek Park rules before you ride, as well as call the park.

Directions/Parking

  • From Roanoke, take US-221 N/US-460/Challenger Ave NE for 22.7 miles.
  • Keep right to continue on US-460 E/US-460 BYP E for 2.8 miles. Take the VA-714 exit toward US-221/VA-122 N and County Farm Rd for 1.4 miles and the destination is in the center.
  • Parking is available in the lot at the park.

  • Visit Smith Mountain Lake, a 22,000-acre man-made lake for a beautiful day on the water after a tough day on the trails.
  • Hickory Hill Vineyard and Winery is located only 25 miles away on Smith Mountain Lake in Moneta.
  • Drive down US-460E to Downtown Roanoke and enjoy a nice meal at Billy’s, Fortunato, or Table 50, all known for their cuisine.
