Hike in the Moonlight

Love to hike but hate hot weather? The Blue Ridge Land Conservancy is hosting a full moon hike on Friday, June 9 at Carvins Cove. Listen to the sounds of nature and enjoy a sunset over Carvins Cove and a late spring moonrise. Hikers will watch the full moon come over Tinker Mountain and listen to nearby owls. Make sure to bring a flashlight and sturdy hiking shoes.

Hikers will meet at the boat launch parking lot at Carvins Cove Natural Reserve, 9644 Reservoir Road. The event is $3/participant for Friends of the Blue Ridge Land Conservancy, and $6/participant for the general public. (A friend of BRLC is someone or an immediate family member who has donated in the past 12 months to the organization.)

The hike begins at 8 p.m.

To sign up, email Erica Reed or call 540-985-0000.
