You might have seen them during the Super Bowl halftime show, late at night with Conan O’Brien, or on Good Morning America. Now you can see them live in Roanoke. Gibbon Slacklines will host pro demos during the Roanoke GO Outside Festival in October.
Slacklining is the act of balancing along a narrow, flexible piece of webbing usually low to the ground. Originating in the climbing world, it has become popular for balance training and now, thanks to Gibbon, is available to everyone and gaining popularity.
Not only will Gibbon have lines set up for demos, there will be lines set up that you can test your balance on all weekend long during GO FEST, a free festival celebrating the outdoors Oct. 19-21 at Rivers Edge. Mark your calendars and plan to come watch the pros balance and then try it for yourself.
