We are super excited about this year’s Roanoke GO Outside Festival.
Really, really excited.
The festival, presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, is a FREE, three-day event celebrating everything outdoors, Oct. 19-21 at Rivers Edge.
There will be more activities than you can do in three days – camping, biking, boating, races, geocaching, and more – and you can participate in demos, try out new gear and camp out all weekend. (And did we mention it is free?)
Plus there will be plenty of food, live music, and activities for the kids. This isn't your ordinary sit-in-your seat kind of event -- you're encouraged to get involved. Walk around, touch gear, try stuff out, and above all, have fun.
The daily schedule is posted on the GO FEST website, with activities and demos still being added. Some of the highlights include bike demos, boat demos, Sierra Nevada Torpedo Race, SUP simulator, KEEN Photo Booth, bike trials pro athlete, slacklining, flyball, fly fishing casting, disc golf, stand up paddle board demo, Huffy bike toss, a climbing wall, and lots of clinics.
This year’s vendors include KEEN Footwear, Sierra Nevada, Gibbon Slacklines, Mountain Khakis, Ruff Wear, Cardinal Bicycles, NOLS, Bellyak, Subaru, Innova Discs, Walkabout Outfitter, Sylvan Sport Trailers, Fleet Feet, East Coasters, Take A Hike GPS, Specialized Bicycles, and many more.
You don’t want to miss it!
