UPDATE -- Six-Eleven got the needed 250 votes on Friday.
Six-Eleven Bicycle Co. in Roanoke needs to gather 250 votes by Saturday to be eligible for a small business grant contest. Grants of $250,000 each, sponsored by Chase and LivingSocial, will be awarded to 12 small businesses around the nation.
The grants are for small businesses that are looking to expand, and Six-Eleven qualifies with its goal of creating co-working space in Roanoke.
Voting is easy. Visit Six-Eleven on Facebook and click the Mission: Small Business link or visit the Chase Mission: Small Business page directly. Log in with Facebook and search for Six-Eleven by name or by city. Then just click “vote.”
But make sure to do it by Saturday (and you can vote for more than one business if you have voted in the past).
All eligible business applicants will be judged by a panel of business experts before grants are awarded.
