The Roanoke Free Speech Festival

The Roanoke Free Speech Festival will be held on Veterans Day November 11, 2017 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at The Wells Fargo Plaza in Downtown Roanoke at the conclusion of The Veterans Day Parade. It is an opportunity for the Roanoke Community to show our support of the First Amendment. We will talk about the importance of Free Speech and how it directly relates to our personal experiences and the community at large. This will be a peaceful gathering where the importance of ‘Free Speech and Tolerance’ will be used as a platform to educate participants while building a foundation on which people learn how to disagree without violence.

Conservatives & Liberals / Democrats & Republicans will talk about their differences while uniting under the basic human right of Freedom of Speech.
