You have three opportunities to get outside this Halloween weekend. As a bonus, take part in all three spook-tacular activities! (And there’s still time to trick or treat on Monday.)

Haunted Hike

  • Friday or Saturday, 7-10 p.m. at Greenfield Park in Daleville
  • Share spooky stories highlighting local legends and lore on this one-mile hike. There will also be a campfire with marshmallows, two different cemeteries to visit, and lots of great stories. The event is family friendly.

Spooky Sprint

  • Saturday, 10 a.m. on the Roanoke River Greenway
  • Costumes are a must for this 5K along the greenway. After the race, gather at Wasena City Tap Room for free beer, pizza, and live music. Register online or on-site beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

RIMBA Annual Halloween Ride

  • Sunday, noon-6 p.m. at Carvins Cove
  • Dress up and break out your bike with rides for all levels (beginner, slow intermediate, fast intermediate, and expert). There will be plenty of prizes and a celebration after the ride at Parkway Brewing.
